To begin, you must clean all cracks thoroughly. Specifically, remove weeds and loose dirt using a scraper or compressed air. Additionally, for cracks deeper than one inch, we recommend using a backer rod or filling in one-inch layers. If using a backer rod, the rod should be 25-30% wider than the crack and pressed down a minimum of 3/4″ from the surface.
Proper compaction is vital for a lasting repair. However, you should avoid using a squeegee for the primary fill. Instead, use a flexible handheld scraper to pack the material firmly. Specifically, you must eliminate all air pockets. As a result, the repair will stay flush with the surface and won’t settle over time.

Do I need to paint after repairing?
Our fillers match standard court colors like Green, Blue, and Red. Consequently, you generally do not need to paint over the repair immediately. However, note that new material may vary slightly from older, UV-oxidized surfaces.
How long until we can play?
The product is often touch-dry in two hours when temperatures are above 80 degrees. Lower temperatures will effect the cure time. Nevertheless, we recommend a 24-hour wait time before resuming full athletic activity.
